We are always looking to recruit individuals to staff the recreation facilities. The facilities are open from 6am to 11pm each week during the academic year where students work 3 to 4 hour shifts. Students qualifying for the federal work study program are preferred, however, institutional and alternate work study is available. If you are interested please contact the Campus Recreation Office at 622-1244 or stop by 105 Student Recreation Center. The three areas available for employment within the Campus Recreation Facilities Program include:
Facility Supervisors -
The Facility Supervisor will control, oversee, and supervise all activities in the Fitness & Wellness Center and Weaver building including all patrons and the facility structure. The supervisor will also be responsible for the front desk and weight & fitness staff . Students looking for management experiece or thinking about a career in Sports Management or Recreation are encouraged to apply.
 
Front Desk Assistant -
The Front Desk employee will greet patrons entering each facility. The employees will also offer assistance, provide equipment, explain policies, and provide information on each Program and Facility of the Campus Recreation Department. Students with customer service experience with communications backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
 
Weight & Fitness Assistant -
The Weight & Fitness staff will greet patrons entering the Fitness area. Employees will offer assistance, explain policies, and provide information on each piece of equipment. Students majoring in Fitness & Wellness or interested in Personal Traning are preferred and encouraged to apply.
Facility Program Internship-
Students in the Sports Management, Fitness & Wellness, and Recreation academic programs seeking an internship for academic credit are encouraged to contact the Facility Coordinator of Campus Recreation. The internship will include all of the administrative aspects of Campus Recreation Facility Mangement including but not limited to recruiting, hiring, training, scheduling, event management, facility reservations, payroll, web construction, and facility supervision.
