The council reviews policies, procedues, programs, and space allocation within the department to ensure the focus remains on student recreation. The council is made up of two faculty members, one staff member and four students. One faculty member and at least one student member must be from the Department of Recreation and Park Administration. The council is overseen by the Director of Campus Recreation, who is not an active member.

Faculty/staff memberships cost $180/year.

Students may purchase a semester-off membership fee of $30. Students must have been enrolled in the previous semester and planning on enrolling in the upcoming semester to be eligible for the semester-off membership. Valid Identification
The Campus Recreation Department exists to provide services to students of Eastern Kentucky University. All participants must provide valid identification to use the facilities. Please present one of the following forms of identification to the front desk attendant before proceeding through the turnstile:

1. EKU student ID (verifying via scanner that all fees have been paid for the current semester).

2. EKU Faculty/Staff ID (Campus Recreation memberships must be purchased to use the Fitness & Wellness Center and to participate in Group Fitness or Personal Training classes.)
