Intramural sports uses several rule variations. Most variations are due to time constraints or safety of the participants. All rules are subject to change, however, team captains will be notified of any changes. It is important for team captains, as well as the team members, to have a full understanding of these rules before participating in there chosen events. All rules have originated from a professional association and will be referenced. If any participant would like to read the professional association rule book (i.e. USVBA rule book for volleyball) it will be available upon request at the Student Recreation Center.
